ABOUT
"They made me see that the world was beautiful if you were beautiful, and that you couldn't get unless you gave. And you had to give without wanting to get.”
- The Once and Future King, T.H. White
Annika is a New York based artist who specializes in coming of age female-driven films, queer stories, Shakespeare, acting-driven musicals, and new works from their beginning stages. She is a believer in “failing gloriously”, curiousity, text work, and finding engaging, honest connection onstage and on camera. She acts because she loves to feel human connection at its fullest & loves to study how to tell someone’s story. It’s challenging, it connects people in a profound way, it teaches empathy, and it’s what gives her hope in her short time on this rock.
She grew up in a small town in East TN and has been acting since she was six years old, when she starred as the titular role in Poultry in Motion (Chicken Little) at her local community theatre. After graduating with her BFA in Musical Theatre in Nashville, TN, she has been working across the east coast, in the UK, and now lives in New York, where she is the management director of The Table Read Co., a nonprofit supporting emerging theatre voices in developing new works.
